Born and raised in southern Germany, Nina Meyerhöffer started her studies at the University of Trier where she received her B.Ed. (Bachelor of Education) degree in 2012, with majors in English, biology and education. As a prospective high school teacher, she enjoyed the opportunity to work with young adults at the University of Arizona in her German 101 class and hopes to be able to apply this experience in her work with younger English students as well. After the year at UA, she returned to Germany to finish her studies with a MEd degree and start working as a teacher. Her research interests include several fields of second language acquisition and the improvement of the foreign language classroom, as well as the physiology and taxonomy of higher animals.
