German Studies Graduate Research Symposium: "Residence Unknown"

On Dec. 7-8, nine graduate researchers in the MA and PhD programs of the Department of German Studies presented their original research to a full house of colleagues and peers. Topics ranged from military representations in Eastern German literature, to the politics of immigration, to women's fictions in Weimar Germany. The presenters were Amanda Snell (symposium co-organizer), Stephanie Della Cella (symposium co-organizer), Laura Tellechea, Hayden Godfrey, Patrick Ploschnitzki, Jesse Archbold, Amalie Sielaff, Jessi Long, and Matthew Mulconrey. Prof. Barbara Kosta keynoted the event with a lecture on cosmetics and cosmetic surgery in Weimar Berlin.
