Alexander Ganz studied American Studies and Communication / Media at the Universität Leipzig, Germany and holds an M.A. in German Literature from the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville. He is currently working on a Ph.D. degree in Transcultural German Studies at the University of Arizona / University of Leipzig. His research interests include pop-culture in the foreign language class room, new media literacy and assessment, multiple literacies, and language pedagogy. He currently teaches GER 315 Business German | German for Professional Purposes and works as Web Developer for University Information Technology Services (UITS) at the University of Arizona. His latest publication is on Mircopublishing as a Tool for Collaboration and Socialization. His work was also recently featured in the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages (ACTFL) Language Educator magazine (Download Article).
