Rachel’s early interest in global learning and discovery inspired her undergraduate career in German (B.A.), Russian (B.A.), and International Studies (B.A.) at Bowling Green State University in Ohio. She studied abroad in St. Petersburg, Russia and received a scholarship from the German American Federation for an academic year abroad at the Justus-Liebig-Universität Gießen in Germany. While pursuing her Master’s degree in German Studies at the University of Arizona, Rachel taught German levels 101-202 and received the ‘Outstanding Graduate Assistant in Teaching (GAT) Award’ from the UA Foundation and the College of Humanities.
Rachel currently works at Northern Arizona University as an International Student Recruiter and Admissions Counselor. In this role, she is involved in direct and virtual recruitment, marketing, and communications for students from around the world. Rachel serves on the international admissions and scholarship committees and as a Designated School Official/Alternate Responsible Officer for initial legal document issuance and advising for international students. She enjoys living in Flagstaff, AZ and entertaining her wanderlust through her career in international education.
