Laura is a geographer by training with a specialization in spatial analysis. She graduated from the University of Arizona with a BA in Geography and a Graduate Certificate in Geographic Information Systems. However, she has also had ample experience in languages and cultures. Born and raised in Mexico City, she has a strong Mexican heritage. Having studied college in Arizona and spent the last 10 years living in the US, she also has a deep understanding of American lifestyle and the English language. In addition, her multiple summers spent in Germany, visiting friends and family and working summer internships, has given her ample access to the German culture and German language. Her work as a tutor and interpreter reflects her passion for helping people bridge language and cultural differences. Her main research interests delve on cultural and political issues within Germany, post WWII.
