Advanced Research Techniques: Hands On with Prof. Albrecht Classen

When
noon to 1 p.m., Feb. 7, 2014

All good research begins with solid bibliographical search skills. You must know what the current state of research is, who has published the latest or the most important studies on a topic, and this both nationally and internationally. No one wants to accept research and/or publish a paper/book if it is outdated and does not represent cutting edge insights. Fortunately, with modern technology all our bibliographical research has become so much easier, but it is now also much more demanding than in the past.

In this workshop we'll look at the wide range of possible resources in our field and will go through a number of practical search cases. Please bring your laptop so that you can participate in this hands-on research study session. You will be asked to find critical information on selected topics and to create a quick bibliography.
