"Alle guten Dinge sind drei – using three technology-mediated tasks to develop content knowledge, academic skills, and language proficiency"

Repetition and feedback are crucial components of learning. To maximize these components, advanced students of German explored each topic they learned about in class through three technology-mediated tasks: (1) analysis tasks discussed via reflective blogs; (2) personal experience and beliefs discussed in a telecollaborative tandem partnership; and (3) a digitally presented mini-research project. In this presentation I will present the students’ reactions to this new curriculum (i.e. Did they understand the pedagogical goals? Did they like the trifecta approach?) and use case studies to illustrate both successful and missed learning opportunities.
