Best friends Veit (Friedrich Mücke) and Tom (Matthias Schweighöfer), misfits in the GDR, venture to the USA right after the Wall opens. The duo hitchhike, smuggle, and borrow their way from New York to San Francisco. While traversing the land of freedom and opportunity, Veit and Tom encounter bikers, cheerleaders, cops, comic book artists, and other Germans on their journey of friendship. Winner of 2010 Bavarian Film Award for Best Young Actor. 110 min.
