This film follows the life of Stefan Zweig (Josef Hader) and his journey in exile. As a Jewish Austrian, the famous writer and proponent of Internationalism was forced out of his home country. Travelling first to England, then the USA, and finally Brazil, this true story explores his despair at Europe’s fall to fascism and his new found freedom in North and South America. Winner of the 2017 Audience European Film Award and Best Cinematography at the 2017 German Film Critics Awards. 106 min.
