Fisch out of Water

When
5 to 7 p.m., Feb. 22, 2013

The purpose of Fisch out of Water is to encourage speakers of foreign and second languages to use their own voice in non-native ways, in the company of their peers. Concretely, Fisch out of Water invites language learners to read/perform a poem or a short prose text in their language(s) they are currently learning or have learned. The first 2013 event is an opportunity to get together and share our love of languages.

Our fourth event of 2012-13 will be devoted to the 200th anniversary of the Brothers Grimm and their fairytales. It will be an opportunity to share our love for both languages and fairytales as well as the cultures in which they are embedded. We invite speakers of various foreign languages to share their favorite fairytale with us and recite and excerpt from it.

FREE delicious munchies!

Experience a little bit of the magic and potential of speaking in non-native ways.

Please RSVP or contact Carolin with questions or interest in contributing (Carolin Radtke / carrad@email.arizona.edu).
