Hear eight people, including our very own Prof. Albrecht Classen, share personal stories about their experiences involving borders of countries including the United States, Germany and Canada. Making music at the border, prejudice, dangerous crossings, migrant remains at a county morgue and a divided family are among the topics shared. The event is sponsored by Arizona State Credit Union and is held in conjunction with the exhibit, "The Border Project: Soundscapes, Landscapes & Lifescapes," on display through March 11, featuring sound art, music, performance, painting, sculpture, installation, video, film and photography that examine historical and contemporary life in the U.S.-Mexico borderlands region.
The featured speakers are
- Glen Weyant of SonicAnta - making music at end of the border fence
