The Department of German Studies is fortunate to welcome Prof. Renate Riedner (of the Herder Institut, University of Leipzig) as our German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) Guest Professor for Spring 2014. Prof. Riedner already enjoys close scholarly and institutional ties with Arizona's German Studies community. With her colleague at Leipzig Prof. Michael Dobstadt, Prof. Riedner has developed a model of foreign langauge teaching / learning called "Didaktik der Literarizität / Didactics of Literaricity", which she will share with us at Friday's discussion.
