Mr. Richardson is a 2003 alumnus of the Department of German Studies and currently serves as Director of the US Commercial Service in Arizona. The US Commercial Service, a division of the US Department of Commerce, is the primary export and foreign direct investment division of the United States government. In this presentation (given to student in a course on Business German and the public), he will discuss the role of the U.S. Commercial Services and its footprint and history in Germany; trends in bilateral trade with Germany; and understanding the complexities of doing business abroad (e.g., culture, ownership, regulation, and risks).
