Call for members of the Delta Phi Alpha German Honor Society
Calling all majors/minors/German language learners! Are you interested in being inducted into Delta Phi Alpha, the German Honor Society, and wearing German cords for graduation in Fall 2025 or Spring 2026 or beyond? Do you also have:
A minimum of two years of college German (GER 202) or their equivalent?
A minimum average of B+ (3.3 GPA) or its equivalent in German courses?
A minimum cumulative average of B- (2.7GPA) or its equivalent?
Interest in study abroad scholarships (*our students have had success getting these)?
Indication of continued interest in the study of German language and literature?
Submissions are due: Fri. November 14
Induction to take place during Nikolausfest on December 3.
Step 1: Fill out the Delta Phi Alpha Student Interest form: forms.gle/bZjbBeQhZ3npaqCY7
Step 2: Forward payment to Dr. Classen (via cash, check, or via PayPal *aclassen@arizona.edu, please note your name and Delta Phi Alpha if you use PayPal).
Costs:
Send $20 for digital honors society certificate (or $25 for paper certificate, or $27 if you want both digital and paper copies)
Add on $15 if you want to purchase the double braided honor cord for graduation (OPTIONAL)
