Julius Carstens (Doctoral candidate in Transcultural German Studies) will present his Dissertation Proposal Die Auflösung der automobilen Freiheitssymbolik: Verkehrswende in deutschsprachigen Gegenwartsromanen. The event will begin with a ca. 30 minute presentation by the candidate, after which there are 30 minutes for audience questions. After this first hour, the public portion is concluded, and questions continue with the committee (professors Joela Jacobs, Janice McGregor, Leonhard Herrmann and Anna Stemmann) in closed session.
