Antonia Kampe is the inaugural recipient of the College of Humanities GAT Award for Teaching Excellence, which recognizes Ph.D. students who demonstrate exceptional promise in teaching and a strong commitment to enhancing the student learning experience.
Antonia is regarded as an inspiring and caring peer mentor within the department. Dr. Fuhr, the Basic Language Program Director, notes that she has a unique talent for sparking enthusiasm in her students; many of whom actively participate in the department’s weekly board game nights and monthly German club events. As a result of her influence, students often choose to minor or major in German and take part in the department’s study-abroad program.
Herzlichen Glückwunsch, Antonia!
