We are delighted to congratulate Dr. Christina Becher on her new job at the Goethe-Universität in Frankfurt am Main! For the upcoming summer semester at the university, she will be teaching two introductory courses on modern German literature, as well as a seminar titled "Vom Aufbruch schreiben: Gegenderte Körper in der deutschsprachigen Reiseliteratur". Dr. Becher successfully defended her dissertation in November 2023 as part of the dual-degree program between the University of Arizona and the Universität zu Köln. Her dissertation will be published as a book this fall under the title "Zwischen Mensch und Pflanze. Vegetabile Hybriden in literarischen und grafischen Texten des 20. und 21. Jahrhundert", through Wallstein-Verlag. While working in Frankfurt, she will simultaneously continue her research by delving into her next research project.
