In the past year, Dr. Classen has published a number of books in Medieval Studies, on topics ranging from paradigm shifts to prostitution, and from leisure time to travel. In addition to his German book on "Japanese-German Conversations about Foreignness in the Middle Ages," co-edited with Manshu Ide, he also collaborated on a travel guide to the German Rhön mountains with his sister and brother-in-law.
