Members of our German Studies Department, including faculty, graduate and undergraduate students, and alumni, were heavily represented at this year’s German Studies Association (GSA) Conference in Phoenix. A major highlight of the conference was a roundtable led by Dr. Joela Jacobs, Dr. James Orao (University of Nairobi), and Dr. Leonhard Herrmann (University of Leipzig), featuring an engaging discussion on the joint graduate program across the three partner universities. Department members contributed broadly across the conference schedule by organizing and participating in seminars, panels, and roundtables. Several graduate students also traveled to Phoenix to attend the sessions and support their colleagues.
Huge congratulations to all our department members on their outstanding contributions, and a big thank you to all colleagues, students, and attendees who came out to support us throughout the conference.
