Congratulations to German Studies student Patt Intarakamhang, who has won the Fall 2015 German Studies Department photo contest, with a photo of the Schloss Nymphenberg in Munich. He remembers: "Nearing the end of my two month stay in Munich, I still hadn’t been able to visit Schloss Nymphenburg. After touring through the castle, I was met by this fountain which serves as a welcome to all the visitors entering the magnificent park surrounding the castle."

Patt attended this summer's Research in Munich program, offered by the Department of German Studies. Says Intarakamhang, "I had always wanted to travel to Europe and this was the perfect chance for me to learn more about German culture and its work ethic. From the plethora of relaxing biergartens to the fast and efficient means of public transportation, my stay in Germany is one that I will never forget. I hope to one day be able to visit this wonderful country again."

The prize for the photo contest is lunch with the winner's favorite German Studies teacher. Patt requested to have lunch with Assistant Director of the Language Program, Ms. Diane Richardson, a PhD candidate in the Department of German Studies. Congratulations, Patt!
