Apply for the month-long International Summer School of German Language and Culture at Heidelberg University, taking place in August 2018. This course allows you to improve your language skills at Germany’s oldest university while experiencing culture and society in the beautiful city of Heidelberg--and all that with a $1000 scholarship. With its landmark castle, Old Town and the Neckar River, Heidelberg is one of the most beautiful cities in Germany. It is located in the heart of Europe just one hour south of Frankfurt International Airport.

The two $1,000 stipends cover the course fees (EUR 670) plus some spending money. They are available to qualified students enrolled at universities in the United States. We are seeking candidates with strong academic backgrounds who can also fulfill the role of ambassador for Heidelberg Alumni U.S. (HAUS) upon their return from Heidelberg. Universität Heidelberg is consistently ranked as one of the best universities in Germany (rated #1 in 2017 by the Academic Ranking of World Universities) and one of the top-rated institutions of higher education and research in the world. Universität Heidelberg offers a wide range of study programs, and a strong international orientation: about one-fifth of the university’s over 30,000 students are foreign nationals.
