I grew up in Moscow in the 80's and early 90's and first studied German while at Moscow State Linguistics University. I was fascinated with German culture’s influence on the Russian culture since Peter the Great’s reign and the cultural and economic bond the countries developed as a result. After moving to Tucson in the mid-90's and earning my M.A. in German Studies at the University of Arizona, I moved to San Francisco and worked in the content development field for a large law firm where I applied the analytical, research and writing skills developed in my Master's studies. Five years ago, I earned a degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting from the University of San Francisco. I am a California-licensed CPA and a forensic accountant at one of the top consulting firms in the world, working on domestic and international investigations and disputes where German is very much a part of my professional life on international projects.
