Transcultural German Studies
2018
My passion for languages, literatures, and culture, and my sense of calling to serve people by teaching, motivated me to enter graduate studies in the Department of German. Teaching various German classes with various approaches and my studies of the German literature and culture at the University of Arizona and at the Universität of Leipzig, Germany, prepared me to be attentive and sensitive to how Friedrich Schiller’s poetic pursuit equipped me with the skills and understanding that literature can be an effective tool of educating human beings on how to achieve their not yet realized potentials.
