100 Years of Bauhaus

In 2019, we are celebrating 100 years of Bauhaus, a famous German school of art and design founded by Walter Gropius in Weimar. You might have heard of one of its most famous representatives, architect Ludwig Mies von der Rohe. The goal of Bauhaus was the creation of a Gesamtkunstwerk, a total work of art, in which all  of the arts would be brought together. Bauhaus style became one of the most influential currents in modern design, modernist architecture and art, design and architectural education.
