With the semester starting to wind down, what could be better than live poetry at Fisch out of Water and 'speed dating' at Language Swap? Introducing the greatest crossover since German Reunification: FOWLS! And if that acronym wasn't exciting enough, the two hours of linguistic festivity and free food certainly will be!
Hosted generously by the people over at La Vita House and managed by both the DSC and Language Swap Tucson, this event lets you experience the best of both worlds, with an hour of performance time and an hour of social activities. Of course, these performances wouldn't be possible without the performers themselves. So if you want to go up there and become a part of the fun, start thinking about your piece now!
For those new to Fisch, you can speak or sing from any language you know, even in one you don't know. Just know we are all getting out of our shells and diving in with you. If your piece is going to be longer than 5 minutes, just let us know, and we can try to set aside specific time for it and print out the work, so others can better follow along.
