Fack Ju Göhte | Suck Me Shakespeer (dir. Bora Dagtekin, 2013)
The bank robber Zeki Müller (Elyas M’Barek) is released from prison and attempts to retrieved his stashed loot. Unfortunately, he and his partner stashed the ill-gotten goods in a construction site, which has since become the gymnasium at the Goethe Gesamtschule. Müller’s plan to tunnel under the school by night under the guise of the school’s janitor is foiled, as a mix-up has landed him the position of homeroom teacher. Clashes with his teaching colleague Lisi Schnabelstedt (Karoline Herfurth) and his unconventional pedagogy put further hurdles in Müller’s path. Winner of the 2014 Bambi Awards and the 2014 German Film Awards for Highest Grossing Film of the Year. 119 min.
