We are reaching out to our alumni and friends to help us meet our $3000 spring fundraising goal for German Studies study abroad scholarships.
Since 2003, three hundred and eighty-eight (388) students have participated in the Arizona Summer Study in Leipzig program. In commemoration of the 20th anniversary of this program, the University of Arizona Department of German Studies wants to make this transformative experience possible for even more future students!
This year, 13 new students have signed up for the program, immersing themselves in German culture, language, and history while studying at Universität Leipzig, one of the world's oldest universities. Students use German daily, explore new customs and practices, negotiate unfamiliar spaces, and make new connections and lifelong friends along the way. Many students need financial support to make such an endeavor possible, and the Department of German Studies provides scholarships to help our majors and minors.
