Patrick Carlson

I am currently a PhD candidate in German at the University of California, Irvine, writing a dissertation on atomic weapons, German culture, and the Cold War. As a nice complement to my apocalyptic worldview, I've been working in recent months as the web editor and German liaison for a Canadian game company, Hinterland Studio, as they produce a computer game about planet Earth in the midst of geomagnetic disaster.
