Esther von Stosch is a doctoral student in German Philology (University of Cologne, Germany) and Transcultural German Studies (University of Arizona). She completed her BA and MA with a double major in German Philology and Middle Eastern Studies in Cologne, where she has been part of the interdisciplinary research training group "2212 Dynamics of Conventionality (400-1550)" since April 2021. Her dissertation focusses on transcultural conventions of materiality in Persian, Arabic, and German literature of the High Middle Ages. She will be in Tucson for the academic year 2021/22.
