Department of German Studies awarded study abroad scholarships from the Max Kade Foundation

The German Studies Department was awarded scholarships from the Max Kade Foundation to support students who want to study in the Arizona Summer Study in Leipzig Program. Scholarships will be in the amount of $1,000 each and students are also elligible to apply for other scholarships. 

The Arizona Summer Study in Leipzig Program features courses taught by UA instructors. Students who have completed the first year of language study can complete an entire year of 200-level German by taking German 211 in Leipzig. The program also offers courses at the 300 and 400 levels in German for more advanced students. 

Applications for the Max Kade Scholarships are due February 5 and deadlines for the  Arizona Summer Study in Leipzig Program are currenrly ongoing.
