
Favour is a PhD student in Transcultural German Studies at the University of Arizona. She holds a BA in European Studies (German and French) from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria. During this time, she also underwent extensive teacher training organized by the Goethe Institute, focusing on teaching methodologies and the use of online tools in education. Favour earned her MA in German Studies from the University of Arizona. Following her master’s program, she taught German at a high school in Sahuarita, Arizona, for a year, applying the skills and knowledge gained during her time as both a TA and a student. Her research interests lie in exploring the complexities of cultural exchange, (im)politeness in communication, and identity formation within the German-speaking world. Favour aims to shed light on how language shapes our understanding of ourselves and others, contributing to a deeper comprehension of multicultural interactions and integration. Favour is passionate about her field, inspired by her diverse experiences and her commitment to fostering cross-cultural understanding. She is dedicated to advancing the study of transcultural dynamics through her research and teaching.
