Nicole Weymer is a doctoral student in Second Language Acquisition and Teaching (SLAT) at the University of Arizona, where she is also pursuing a minor in German. Originally from Stuttgart, Germany, she earned her Bachelor of Arts and Master of Education in Elementary Education with a focus on English as a Foreign Language and Mathematics from the University of Education Ludwigsburg. She later completed her teacher training and became a state-certified teacher in Germany. During her studies and teaching career, Nicole had the opportunity to gain international experience through a semester abroad at SungKongHoe University in Seoul, South Korea, and as a Teaching Assistant at the University of Kentucky. She later taught German at the University of Maryland Global Campus and worked as a Host Nation Teacher at a DoDEA elementary school.

Her research interests focus on innovative approaches to second language teacher education and language pedagogy, with a particular interest in the role of technology and intercultural competence in language education.
