Sahra Ossi is a graduate student in the German Studies Program. She earned her BA in Educational Science and English/American Studies with a Teaching Minor at the Ruhr University Bochum. Her research interests include the German Language Acquisition in the United States and linguistic experiments in postmodern literature. From 2021 to 2024, Sahra volunteered as a DaF/DaZ and English instructor at local schools in Essen, Germany. The students in her classes were from lower socioeconomic and migration backgrounds. The program was financed through the Education and Participation Package (Bildungs- und Teilhabepaket) from the Ministry for School and Education of North Rhine-Westphalia.
