Wojtek Gornicki is a PhD Candidate in the German Studies program. He holds a master’s degree from the University of Missouri, where he served as a Graduate Teaching Assistant and taught beginner and intermediate German classes. He also studied in Poland and Germany.

During his studies at the University of Arizona, he gained vast experience as a language instructor and a teaching assistant in Gen Ed courses. His main academic interests primarily include applied linguistics and second/third language acquisition. His dissertation examines Cross Linguistic Influence in multilingual speakers during a study abroad program.

He was a Max Kade fellow for the academic year 2019/2020. Since the fall of 2022, he has been serving as the Assistant Language Program Director in the Department of German Studies.
